Our home is block built in 1960. It has never had central air. We want to have a heat pump unit installed, however we have to have the house upgraded to 220 and anything else needed to support the outside unit and indoor air handler.

We have a 15 amp circuit breaker that is overloaded. There are two rooms plus our furnace feeding to the breaker. We would like an estimate for how much it would be to rewire the box to take some pressure off of that breaker. We do have two spaces available in the box. Thanks,
Sandy G
Electrical construction and maintenance is an integral part of the proper functioning of your system. In any building, whether large or small the electrical system consists of hundreds of feet of electrical wiring connecting outlets and switches in the structure with each other. To keep the system running smoothly and efficiently, electrical predictive maintenance is an absolute necessary. Through regular electrical maintenance and testing, an electrician can locate minor faults in the system before they blow up into major problems.
A maintenance electrician is a professional qualified and licensed electrician who meets all certification and accreditation requirements, as required by state or Indianapolis specifications. An inexperienced handyman is not qualified or trained to check through lengths of wiring to look for minor problems and defects. Regular electrical panel maintenance and maintenance testing are absolutely essential to avoid sudden electrical breakdowns or even disasters. This is especially true in the case of large buildings which have several miles of electrical wiring connecting outlets and switches. Periodic electrical maintenance testing can save a business thousands of dollars in annual electrician's fees.
Preventive electrical maintenance can save a home owner or business owner hundreds or thousands of dollars every year in electrical repairs. In buildings like hotels and malls, where continuous and 24 hour supply of power is crucial to the success of the business, periodical electrical maintenance can help boost success.
